We booked for 7pm and the menu was given at 7.15. We were told six items on the menu were not available. We got our starters at 8.00, which were all so salty. We then waited ages and watched as two tables that arrived after us, were served their mains. We didn 't get served our mains until 9:00. After waiting two hours for food, the chips were cold, and a lot of them were hard in the middle. Three of us ordered fajitas, the fajita that came was build your own, there was no salad and almost no meat (just onion and peppers) and it was more of a casserole. We both had a lovely so tasty meal at The Brittania Pub, not been for agood while so thought we would try it again after the lovely reviews on fb. We were not disappointed, staff lovely very helpful could not do enough to help advise on menus ingredients etc. I had the curry of the day hubby had the sea bass. Both were beautifully presented they both tasted amazing. We will definitely be going back to try taste more of there lovely food . We finished off by sharing a sticky toffee pudding it was the best we have had by far. Well done to you all. 5* deserved.
It was our first visit to the Britannia but it was well worth it. Everything was good. Food, presentation, friendly staff and atmosphere. It was quiet as we visited on a Tuesday in February. We were specially pleased, as was the Chef, when we asked for a vegetarian curry as it was a meat curry on the menu. We've only had that once before but it makes it much easier to want to go again. One up for the Chef!!
Just come back from having lunch there today. Very quiet (shame) but food, drink and service was excellent. Used to be our local ‘go to’ pub but circumstances have meant this is a first visit in a long while. Certainly will be returning and would recommend. Good Steak night. Good Chef. Nobody in the pub though. All young girls working there.....Nice girls but they need a Headmistress in charge of them. Lol. As they were on their phones etc. Not professional at all. Food: 4 Service: 3

Our first trip with the new owners but it won’t be our last! We had amazing food, service and the most friendly atmosphere this evening. The Valentines set menu was absolutely delicious
