The Bryntirion Inn

My daughter and I called in for a meal after a day out. I had a lamb roast dinner. Wish I hadn't! The veg was plentiful but cheap variety, carrots cabbage cauliflower, lacking in green! I had a small Yorkshire pudding that was hard. Three...tiny roast potatoes that were soft and black. Three tinned new potatoes and lamb that had been bought in pre cooked. I know this because the slice was round and curled at the edges showing it had been reheated. I ate it because I was hungry and not because I was enjoying it. Everything was heated up, nothing fresh especially the meat. All I can say is if you have very low expections eat here otherwise look for something better.

We made a last-minute reservation on a cold, rainy night. The food was average, but the extensive menu was a concern for quality. It seemed like many items must be frozen. We ordered only main courses, but they took nearly an hour to arrive, possibly because we requested a well-done steak. The biggest issue was the temperature of the restaurant, which was uncomfortably cold. Additionally, it was disappointing to see frozen chips on the menu instead of homemade ones, as they can make a meal feel mediocre.

We booked a table for having never visited or read reviews. We had looked only at the menu. What a little diamond this pub is. The welcome was so warm and friendly that we felt like we'd been there before. The food was lovely...with a good variety for everyone in our party (children, vegetarians etc) The puddings were...lush! We weren't rushed but weren't ignored or left alone. Looking forward to going back again one day.

This cozy Welsh pub, run by friendly and genuine people, offers a fantastic Welsh stew with bread that was amazing, excellent curry, and the best treacle sponge pudding I've had in memory. The menu is extensive and varied, making it easy to find something you'll love. It's also a convenient place to purchase fishing tickets. We found this restaurant purely by chance on the way to Bala and we were so glad we did. The menu was extensive and very appealing, with several vegetarian options. The puddings were exceptional. The host was very welcoming and took time to talk to...us. We will be returning again very soon! Helen Steve

During our holiday in the area, we stopped at this restaurant and found it to be charming, cozy, and welcoming. We brought our dog with us and were quickly seated in a quiet spot, and the staff were very accommodating. We would definitely come back here when we are in the area again.

We’ve been visiting this pub/restaurant for years on our trips to Wales. After a pandemic enforced month break we have just visited again. It was excellent as ever. Good choice of food, all freshly cooked and served with a smile. Highly recommend.

Friendly staff, delicious home cooked food and reasonable prices. Can certainly see why they have received an award for being one of the best dog friendly pubs too. Will be back, thank you!

We had been geocaching in Bala in the rain and googled dog friendly pub, this place came up and didn't disappoint. Enjoyed the food and warm friendly atmosphere.
