Me and my husband took our 2 children down The Bull for lunch a few Saturdays ago. Excellent for the kids as have play area, children's booths and had a bouncy castle that particular weekend. Love how accommodating they are for children.... slush puppies, popcorn, mocktails, icecream, fab kids menu etc. We had a nice bit of food too, love the summer grill menu. Place was well maintained and clean. Staff were very friendly. Bit of a wait at the outdoor bar but what do you expect on a Saturday when the weather is lovely! Will be returning soon, thank you for a great afternoon!!!
Pub lovely but ordering food I’d say be v aware . A lot crossed off menu limiting choices but after seeing on the menu speak to staff re dietary requirements/ allergies i asked what I could have as gluten free . My answer from the girl serving was “ I don’t know I’m not gluten free “ This is very worrying and made me feel quite stupid when I asked how the chips were prepared . Frozen from a bag was the answer ! No hope for Coeliacs then the girl clearly needed training . Could have been a life threatening allergy … Menu needs to be coded !
Wow ! This place has really upped its game with the food! By boyfriend and I went for a meal last night and was very impressed. I had the fried chicken strips starter and the prawn skewers main.....beautiful and my partner had the king prawn starter and the barnsley lamb chops which were cooked to absolute perfection and the portion sizes are just right. We were full, but we had to try the homemade sticky toffee pudding....that was the best I have ever tasted. Compliments to the chef
Visited on a Friday evening, ordered a pizza for food when arrived at 7:10pm this didn’t come out until 8:10pm no one came over to apologise and when the food was brought over there was no apology for the delay. It wasn’t that busy to have meant that long a delay. Nice venue but if you’re hungry maybe not the place as not quick.

We had the wayu burger and chips.childs meal burger and curly fries. It was ok the burger was cold and a strange flavour .just didnt taste like a fresh beefy burger. The 4 stars go to the childrens play area.toilets were clean.pleasent staff.and lovely garden area.i would come back.and try other food on menu but not the burger.
I’ve not been to the bull before but I’ve got to say that this is best pub in Essex and our bartender amber was so lovely and very accommodating and the family Sunday lunch was banging
really gone down hill. usually had a good selection of ale's but now seem to cater for lager and continental drinks. Don't go there anymore.
Tapas was a pile of frozen rubbish that i could have bought in Iceland for much less than £35. Don't waste your time and money on ****
