The Burger Grill was a cute, hole in the wall restaurant that is a nice change from all of the upscale restaurants surrounding it in Sun Valley. However, the food was average at best. I had the lobster bisque in a bread bowl, and it was okay, but not great. I loved the bread bowl, especially in the fact that they give you the top of the bread bowl that was cut out of the bread originally to dip into the bisque. The actual bisque was just not the best; it was kind of bland. My boyfriend had the fish and chips, and he definitely has had better at other places; it was also a small portion size in comparison to other grills that serve fish and chips. I tried a sample of the lobster bisque, thought it was bomb, ordered a large and discovered that more isn't always better. After several bites, the salt amount overwhelmed the palate...needed several beers to wash it down. Chicken strips are average as are the fries. French dip was pretty good. Carne Asada taco was the least successful. The sweet potato fries were amazing...crunchy and pillowy goodness. Not much space to move around, but the chairs are comfortable. I'd go back for the sweet potato fries.
We think this was a hidden gem in Sun Valley. The service was exceptional. We got our food in just a few minutes. It was all delicious. I loved the lobster bisque and the taco was great. We also had chili, and burgers, and clam chowder and everyone loved their food! The restaurant was clean and fun. I'd highly recommend it
