I went to The Buttery on Friday night for the first time with friends. The interior decor is modern, tasteful and comfortable. The menu had a great variety of options for everyone. I had the garlic mushrooms to start which were perfect with a good amount of garlic mayo. The menu had a deal on for 2 steaks (you could choose between ribeye or sirloin) with 2 sauces and 2 sides for £29.95 which is very reasonable so I had the ribeye it was cooked exactly as I had ordered and tasted beautiful. The side dishes were more than sufficient, very tasty and we couldn't finish everything. I had lemon meringue for desert as I had seen good reviews about it here and I must say it was the best lemon mering...
Visited on Thursday evening 6.30pm, only customers , staff were friendly , food served within reasonable time , starter of brie wedges ok, main meal Rib-eye steak 12 oz average, salmon in white wine , with mash (very large amount) overall was dry and tasteless . One other party arrived before we left. The decor is fresh and well maintained.
I am bewildered why this restaurant is not buzzing. Had dinner here with friends on a Friday evening. It was not busy and it should be! The food was fantastic. Great starters and we all had the steaks (on a deal) which were all cooked perfectly. Staff were very friendly and professional. Will definitely eat here again. Give it a try!
