After looking for a mid-week dinner for two (a rare night without the kids) the decision was made to try The Cabin Small Bar for something different, largely from other reviews here and also on the recommendation of a friend.Firstly, for a Wednesday night the place was fairly well a full house. A quirky choice of decor gives the place a warm and welcoming atmosphere which is matched by the friendliness of the staff.Having never been before, we sought some assistance about the right quantity to order and proceeded with the Kimchi Chicken Wings, Charred Pumpkin, Buffalo Meatballs and Quail Breast Kiev. All of the food presented exceptionally well and tasted as good as it looked...except for th...

Friday night the place rapidly filled up, noisy but comfortable levels to be able to talk. The menu is short, comfortable without being too-clever food choices, and the quality is good without being great; comfortable and reliable which is what many people want, reflected in how busy the room and even outside became on a cold Perth winter's night (the fire helps). The wine list is limited to mildly interesting choices at reasonable prices, but nothing exciting, again a middle of the road range. Plenty of beers and cocktails just right for the age group of the crowd. Service is attentive and efficient. Great for catching up with friends, but don't expect fine dining and wines.

After friends recommended The Cabin I encouraged my partner to book on our Wednesday night date. We were disappointed immediately as we were told there'd be a big log fire and on a cold night the idea of being cozy was inviting. The fire was a disappointing flame, we were freezing. The food was equally disappointing. We ordered the braised chicken to share and it was a bland and tasteless mixture of canned corn and chicken overwhelmed with huge potato chunks. The service was mediocre and frustratingly uninformed. I wouldn't go back.

Nice place for a casual catch up with friends and family. Restaurant has a nice feel a about it. Service wasn't that bad either. As for the food, I found all of it really nice. Had pretty much all of what was on offer as there were 4 of us. Didn't really need a desert but had to do it. Got the snickers in a glass and OMG....don't order that extra meal/share plate. Make sure you save room for the snickers in a glass............it will not disappoint if this is your favourite little munch. Réservez une table maintenant

I have been to the Cabin a couple times and regret not being able to go more often. Staff here are warm and welcoming and Adam's food just qualifies the occasion. I have my favourites, such as the kimchi wings, quail breast kievs, buffalo meat balls and the Queensland scallops. What I love about this place is the flavours that entertain your palate as you sip on good wine and enjoy the company of good friends. Yes and the price is reasonable too. Will I return? Yes as soon as I can.

Came here for lunch on Mother's Day. The restaurant soon became very busy. Service was friendly and prompt(ish). We shared a variety of dishes but our favourites were the Cajun chicken dish and the skuttle fish dish. Our least favourite was the cured meat board - too much pickled vegetables - needed something fresh to cut through the richness.

Venue was outside mostly and on a very wintery day we were given blankets to keep warm with the heaters on. The menu are tapas items to share and a table of 6 needed to order a couple of each thing so that we could all try it worked out to be a expensive meal.

We visited for dinner and drinks on a Sunday night. Lovely atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. Good drinks menu. Unfortunately food is overpriced and was disappointing - especially considering the prices. Réservez une table maintenant

Been here a few times now. Lovely casual environment. Easy to talk to your friends as it's a quiet place. Staff are lovely and best of all, the food is amazing. Little tasting plates of bliss.
