This place is a great place for locals and visitors to try wine and produce from the Canberra region. A selection of wine is available for wine tasting and by glass. Also on the menu are cheese, smoked meat, and sweet from the Canberra region. The price is very reasonable, and they have more wine and produce for purchasing. Each Friday, a different winery comes and offers wine tasting - a good opportunity to try something not on the menu.It s an internal room in the Tradie's building so it is not somewhere you would think of going on a nice day when you rather have a sip of wine outside. I would give five stars if they change the interior and furniture to form one style. NIce to sit on sofas...
The Canberra district probably isn't renowned for its wine, but there are several Canberra wineries doing some fine work. The soil and climate produce some fantastic grapes, and the expertise and experience in winemaking is steadily growing in the district. The Canberra Wine House at Dickson Tradies allows you to sample many of the results under the one roof. Bliss! Most are sold by the glass, and you can buy a bottle of whatever you fancy too. With platters of nibbles available, this was the perfect place to take some out-of-town visitors who enjoy a tipple. We look forward to going back.
We visited a function here for my brother in 50. Birthday. We had a certain section for the function that worked really well so that people stroll around and talk to others without climbing over people to do it. The selection of wine, beer and non-alcoholic drinks was good and the finger foods were delicious. The service was great, but it became somewhat slower towards the end of the night. The only real criticism I have is that she closed too early at 10:00. We wanted more!

The restaurant has a good concept, as Canberra has some fantastic wines. However, there are a few things that need to be improved. The beer glasses should be chilled, and the espresso martini was disappointing with bitter coffee that lacked depth and wasn't cold enough. On the bright side, the cheese board was excellent.
Tucked away in the Tradies Dickson, but VERY different to the Tradies Club. Serving locally produced wines which can be accompanied by some up market snakes (cheese boards etc). The atmosphere is delightful. I've been here for both work and pleasure. Occasionally has a live act - gent on a guitar. Very nice indeed.
Found out that they actually have an outdoor area. However, I am not sure whether a winery still comes and offers tasting on Friday. There was someone on a Thursday night. The prices seem to have gone up a little bit, but it is still a great place to have wine and nibbles. Everyone who I took there loved it.
Wonderful food ,we shared the figs , steak tartare in beautiful prawn chips, oxtail ragu with pappardelle -delicious !!

One of the best restaurants I've ever been to! We got a seat at the bar and watched the pros do their workSuperb food and service.
