This restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and stunning design, along with delicious food. We enjoyed brunch there last week, and the seafood chowder was definitely a standout—it's a must-try! Even the biscuit that accompanied the chowder was fantastic. We ordered three dishes from the lunch menu and two from the kids' menu, and everything was great. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable!

We were informed that they served the best "crobster roll," which is a combination of crab and lobster, and it certainly lived up to the hype. It was the best roll I've ever had. The staff were also very friendly, providing great recommendations for other bars and clubs to visit, and even offered us change for the ferry. I highly recommend stopping by for a bite here. We had an amazing lunch with the family! We sampled the snow crab dip, the crobster roll, the haddock burger, and the kids' burger, and each dish was outstanding. The olive oil cake for dessert was also incredible. Everything we tried was flavorful, well-seasoned, and definitely worth it. We will happily return the next time we're in Halifax.
We've been wanting to visit the Canteen for quite some time, and we finally had the chance to drop by for lunch. The food is outstanding; you can't go wrong with the crab and lobster roll paired with the split pea and ham soup. It's definitely worth the ferry ride from Halifax if you're nearby. The service is fantastic as well!
