I’ve drank in this place for over three years now and the previous owners whilst they could be grumpy at times, they knew how to run a good pub! This guy is arrogant and clueless and all about ripping Customers off. Since he took over...other than put up a tv in the main bar which is ridiculous and not in keeping with the style he’s destroyed it! Popped in on Saturday no track and trace here and no details asked for. They’ve turned what was once a broom cupboard into a seating area (pictures attached and the beer garden they’ve replaced the rotten decking with what looks like scaffolding planks painted with fence paint. I can only assume whoever painted it was visually impaired as half is al...

What a lovely little pub, we stumbled across this place purely by accident on the way to somewhere and were pleased we did. We didn't eat but the food looked really nice, but what struck us was the cool, laid back atmosphere from the music...to the clientele. Had such a nice time that we came back after the show we went to and brought others with us. The only thing that took the shine off was realising when I got home that they must have a minimum card charge, which nobody mentions. I bought a coke and OJ and tapped my card expecting to see maybe a fiver be charged, but got home to see every small round was a round ten pounds, then realised what they had done. Just be careful to use cash for...

Purchased a couple of drinks for myself and my wife after visiting Brick Lane for a salt beef bagel. Thought a refreshing drink whilst eating the bagel would be good idea.....Take away only so walked with the drinks to the other side of the street...and stood a few minutes with bagel and drink. Owner appeared from the pub shouting across saying that it was illegal to stand there. I questioned the legality and he walked quickly towards me with middle finger gesture and called me a f **g c t. I can reassure him that he lost future customers not a good start when trying to build up business after lockdown.

A very good all round pub with a tastefully and characterful refurbished interior selling a good range of beers including keg ales and also a nice range of bottled beers. Food is served, but we were not there to eat. An additional fascination is its...association with the Kray family back in the day'. Prices are good and service efficient.

for a pint, a white wine and some nuts? And unfriendly service? During Covid, when you can’t sit in the pub anyway? You’re having a laugh. As a local, I suggest others try Rapsa on Hoxton Street, The Kings Arms on Buckfast St or...The Old George on Bethnal Green Road. All cheaper, much friendlier and so much better.

Our family visited this pub on a self walking tour of london. The manager is excellent and really makes you feel welcome. He has lots of interesting stories about the pubs infamous history and brings it alive with the tales of the past. It’s a...lovely little pub and well worth a visit. We will definitely go back.

Popped in here last week to find what was once a charming well run pub with amazing food and service into what looks like an abandoned crack den! The most over priced drinks in East London and the dirtiest toilet and depressing outside space... AVOID!

Grubby no investment and seems to have destroyed a decent pub that was once well run was always clean and served decent food. Nowadays it seems like a crack den

Very friendly staff, excellent choices of beers, lagers, wine, etc. in a very historic east end pub. Thankfully the Twins were not here when I visited!
