I've been wanting to check out The Cauldron since opening and finally did on Saturday night for an October Scorpio birthday celebration, it was witchingly impressive. The Halloween decorations along Beach Boulevard surrounding this unique establishment Knott's Scary Farm with clear visibility of the moon really helped set the mood. The Yelp waitlist system worked out perfectly for us. Parking was smooth and the friendly security guard monitoring the parking lot was an extremely helpful gentleman. Decor inside and outside evokes the feeling of being at Disneyland's Haunted Mansion. I just wanna start by saying, this place was GREAT I loved the ambience and decor and the staff was super friendly and great in all regards. Drinks were super yummy and waiter attentive. Food was delicious as well. I was here on a date and we absolutely loved it. Here's the problem and I friggin hate that this happened because I wanted to love this spot so bad. We ordered a French onion soup, bacon jam with bread, cordon bleu sliders, and escargot. We ended up being picky about each-others food and had our own specific cravings so we ended up snacking on our own stuff. The ONE thing we shared, was the bacon jam. The Cauldron is a hidden gem! I would definitely come here even during the off season. The gothic atmosphere is perfect for taking photos. The small plates pair perfectly with the amazing drinks. I especially enjoyed the charcuterie, olives, and Croque Monsieur Sliders, but the standout was the Ceridwen Cherise cocktail. It was light, refreshing, and just the right amount of sweetness. The servers in costume added a fun touch to our dining experience. We arrived at 4:30pm and the restaurant was already bustling! We put our name down and waited at the bar for our table. I can only imagine that the wait is longer in the evening, but I'm certain it's worth it for such a fantastic experience.
I adore this place! I absolutely love the witchy vibes. I had heard that you are able to dress up anytime throughout the year but I've only been coming here traditionally during the Halloween season and have seen a few people dress up. They have different food options which come in small portions and their drinks are so good. I highly recommend greemans garden drink it's so so good! Parking can be a bit tricky the times I've been here I have been lucky to find a parking spot but be mindful. I recommend carpooling if you can. Réservez une table maintenant
Rachel Dean and michael gave us the best experience possible. Rachel was a fun exciting and an amazing bartender! She gave us our drinks ASAP and they we're so delicious. Not only did Rachel care about service she cared about giving us an experience we wouldn't forget. We will definitely be visiting again!
The food and drinks at this restaurant are fantastic, but what really stood out was the decor and the staff. Despite being down to one oven when we visited, our meals were served promptly in just 15 minutes. The attentive and friendly staff really made our dining experience special.
I wish this restaurant was larger, but that's also what makes it unique. The drinks and the atmosphere are the main reasons to visit. The Devils margarita is unexpectedly delicious (a margarita with a wine floater?) Their seasonal drink, the pumpkin carver, is also fantastic!
