The Chainbridge Inn

Booked last minute for a one night break really wished we had not. Turned up at 4pm on Sunday Internet and notice boards in hotel said serving food until 5pm. Told kitchen closed no reason and not caring that we were staying there. Asked where could we get something to eat locally. Told initially don't know by someone who said they did not normally work there ask someone else. Went to room had only been partly serviced. Empty biscuit wrapper on shelf half empty shower soap in shower. Only one large towel for 2 of us! Advised it would be sorted went for a walk when we came back although they knew who we were not advised that room was ready. Asked for 2 coffees they never arrived. We were told...

Staff great.... Food excellent Room underwhelming.... Had to wait til the morning for a hot shower n then too hot tbh. Bed really comfy though. Carpets need cleaning on stairs. Outside area needs looking at to be more inviting. Breakfast starts too late.

Lovely pub right by the river. Stopped by for a drink . Although didn't open till 4:00 the landlady kindly served us a drink anyway. Manu looked good and would certainly stop there again. Recommended

Had fabulous meal brisket of beef was melt in the mouth and my husband had tarragon chicken.Plates were beautifully presented too!
