The Chequers Public House

We have visited The Chequers several times for Sunday lunch and have always been pleased with our experience. They offer a selection of three roasts along with a vegetarian option, and the food is incredibly tasty and reasonably priced. Moreover, the staff is very friendly, and the pub is dog-friendly (it's a good idea to make a reservation if you're bringing a dog).

I had an enjoyable evening at the restaurant. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Dining outside was especially relaxing. I highly recommend visiting; the meals are reasonably priced, well presented, and the service is excellent. What more could you ask for? I'm definitely looking forward to returning!

We have been to the Chequers for the last 2 weekends, Today we had the Sunday lunch and it was incredible, we have been made to feel extremely welcome on both occasions and this will now be our local pub to eat. So accommodating for kids also with a great play area. Thank you so much Jess Tom x

Delicious Sunday meal served for us hungry hikers! Today we had the choice of beef, lamb, or hay, along with all the trimmings. I would definitely recommend it. We will definitely be back! Réservez une table maintenant

A lovely village pub serving home made food, real ales lovely this pub is cleverly utilised as a local grocery shop..unity in the community. Lovely landlady been there 31 years..
