Absolutely the worst meal we have both experienced! It’s not even worthy of the 1 star. We saw that there was a few cars in the car park so we thought we would try the advertised Sunday Roast. 1) The service was appalling from both of the waitresses 2) Our dog ended up with most of my meat as I couldn’t chew it! We even asked if the beef was tender to which the reply was ‘ the chef here is very experienced’, well we both wondered afterwards experienced at what! The food was served on what I would call a mid size white plate. The food was stacked with no room to spare so trying to saw through the meat was rather difficult. The vegetables were over cooked (cabbage well perhaps half a leaf). The green beans the same but stringy. The roast potatoes and Yorkshire was probably the best thinks on the plate. They couldn’t even get the drink order correct two drinks: a flat white coffee and a soda lime without ice. What arrived was a cup and saucer with black coffee and a jug of cold milk. The lime soda arrived in a glass completely full of ice so my partner asked for the ice to be removed for me. What came back was a glass with soda without any lime and a minute comer of a slice of a lemon. We didn’t dare stay to try the offer of a pudding: I wander what they could do to an apple crumble or a creamy rice pudding. I don’t think any of them have a clue what they are doing! A total shambles.

Thought we would try the new Sunday carvery advertised. Upon entering we thought we had made a mistake as there was a small hit table with a big pile of Yorkshire puddings but literally nothing else. However we paid and sat down and were told the food was ready as it had all been brought out. On first inspection there did not appear to be a particularly wide range on offer. The meat choice was limited to either chicken or beef, veg was peas, carrots and cabbage, as well as cauliflower cheese. The beef was very very pink and dripping blood on the board (I like pink beef but this was too much). My husbands chicken leg was raw in the middle (****). Very small tray of mashed potatoes which ran out so not everyone could have some, although it was later filled. Veg and roast potatoes were nice. Overall quite dear for the selection offered and the “pudding” choice of ice cream or ice lollies did not tempt us. Needs improving in order for the business to succeed as currently this service feels very amateur. Should say the staff were very welcoming and lovely. Sadly we won’t be returning due to undercooked meat which was very off-putting.

This pub lets the neighbourhood down, name of pub letters missing, paint peeled off windows, smashed windows, filthy stained curtains, dirty blinds. Run down, definitely not inviting at all. Dirty windows.
