We went for a late lunch during the week after New Year's, so the restaurant was very quiet. The food was delicious overall. We ordered pea and ham soup, fish and chips, and a rump steak. The steak was cooked rare as requested, but it had more sinew than usual. Hopefully, the chef will address this with the supplier. There was a group with learning difficulties enjoying drinks, and I observed that they were treated with respect and friendliness.

The food at this restaurant is deliciously prepared and served with thoughtful and quick service. We were pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was for a Saturday lunch, but it could be because it's a bit tucked away.
