After a bit of trouble, when one of the wheels on the wheelchair broke, a kind man named John came to our aid. He was a true hero and I am incredibly grateful to him for helping us get D back home safely. While at home, D mentioned that he wanted to go out for fish and chips. He suggested Harvester, recalling that he used to visit there every Wednesday. Although he couldn’t quite remember the name, he did remember the location. I was perfectly fine with going to Harvester, so I called Star Cabs, which I had found while on my way to Hornchurch. I had suggested taking a cab days in advance. The cab drivers were courteous and helpful, and upon our arrival at Harvester, we were warmly greeted...
The staff were friendly, and Laraine in particular was very attentive. The food was decent, but the restaurant itself could use some improvements. It was quite cold; we had to switch tables, and I noticed other customers eating while wearing their coats. The overall ambiance felt worn out; the restrooms had no toilet seats, several chairs had holes, the walls showed signs of damage, and the blinds and windows were coated in dust. It didn't feel clean or comfortable enough to truly relax. I left feeling very disappointed.
We had a pleasant dining experience with friendly service at this restaurant. However, we were unaware that we needed to register our car and ended up getting a parking ticket that was more expensive than our meal. We were disappointed that the staff did not inform us about this requirement and there were no signs indicating it. This is the main reason for giving a 3-star rating. We have requested the restaurant to review the fine and provided evidence that we were dining there.
I'm happy to say we had a really good time here this evening. Thanks to our waiter, Will. It was a really busy evening and we thought it would be a long wait for our meal. But Will was on it! He was kind to the children and made sure we were happy and had everything we needed. To us, customer service is an important part of a meal out and we weren't disappointed. Well done Will. Absolutely unbelievable. The restaurant was nearly empty, yet my two colleagues and I were turned away because they were expecting a large group to arrive. When we checked online, we noticed that there were available reservations for the entire afternoon and evening. It was ridiculous that three hungry patrons were refused service solely based on their appearance.
Have been here loads of times but very disappopinted this time. The salad bar needed replenishing and the rolls were old and dry and unapetizing. Main meal Simply chicken had a funny taste like soap and my friends burger was over done and tasted bad so wasnt eaten I know they were short of staff and it was busier than usual but not a very good experience
The pub looked ok but the food is awful. Chicken and bacon undercooked and the fries tasted like yesterdays warmed up. It was disgusting. My husband had fish and it was also undercooked. The salad bar was under stocked and wasn’t topped up with fresh salad; the lettuce had turned brown,
I had a wonderful dinner, as usual. Caroline was our host and she truly stands out as a valuable asset to the restaurant. She always goes the extra mile to ensure guests have a complete dining experience, and her passion for her job is evident. Réservez une table maintenant
