This quaint little restaurant cafe tucked away on the bend of Woods street in Beaconsfield, Melbourne Victoria, Australia, is a pleasant surprise and a gastronomical gourmet just awaiting to tantalise and satisfy your appetite and palette.Open for breakfast and Lunch from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm, it resides in modest but cosy 1878 colonial building, presumably first opened as a Post Office, complete with warm fireplace, multiple dining rooms and central open kitchen. The atmosphere is cosy and the staff are friendly and professional, and understand the concept of 'hospitality. The food is all and more you would hope and expect... some may say 'exquisite gourmet', others, like me "yummy, delicious...

We had a short walk from the railway station along a quiet street, to find the cafe just back from the main road. The building, which was an old post office, dates back to the 1870s and is nicely fitted out. We chose lunch and had a Mediterranean (Vegetable) Risotto and a Smoked Salmon served with rocket salad and potato roesti. Both were delicious. For fun we had a champagne cocktail each, which had raspberries in them. We are already planning a return visit. Our visit was enhanced by a competent and service oriented waitress. She brought us chilled water without having to be asked and checked on how we were doing without being intrusive. She also went out of her way to provide assistance b...

My friend & I wanted an informal yet cosy atmosphere & both were offered here at The Corner Post Cafe. We were greeted & seated by friendly staff, however choosing to go out on the verandah, we wondered at times if the waitress had forgotten that we were out there.....that gave us plenty of time for chatting anyway. Our lunch was delicious but it was the dessert which blew me away. A sumptuous blood orange creation which I doubt was made on the premises, regardless it delivered everything it described on the quirky menu which had unique names for some of their dishes.

Hello does anyone work here! Service basically nonexistent, (shame this place was good) Sign saying wait to be seated waited 5+ minutes, which we then picked our own seats due to being quiet empty (I don't have all day). Coffee ordered quick, took longer then most places. Asked if we want to order, I said no, my mum said she will have the lamb shanks. Well how long must someone wait, we all know it's pre made (took 1/2 hour+), the rest of the menu was overpriced cheap eats. Not going back, there are better cafes around Réservez une table maintenant

So, looking for somewhere in Berwick for breakfast was a challenge a couple of weeks back on a nice sunny Sunday morning. We could not find anywhere to sit 4 hungry people. We decided to venture a little further to Beaconsfield and stumbled across this little secret gem. Great tasty breakfast, with generous helpings, an all round great menu. Scrambled eggs obviously created by a magician. I don't often get excited by breakfast, but we will be back.

Corner Post has several nooks and spaces to sit and relax with great ambience and lovely fresh food including wonderful home made cakes. Their coffee, hot or iced is consistently good. Recommend Corner Post.

Used to be the place for breaky or just coffee around Beacy but service has just plummeted. Another very average experience on our latest visit. Its been getting emptier of late. Pity. Réservez une table maintenant
