Ordered a takeway on a busy Friday night. Called at and waited in the queue. Asked the bloke who answered whether I could order now for pickup just after Was told that the best way to order is to download the app and...ignore the collection time (which was but put the time I want to collect it into the comments section. Asked if was OK and was told if the order value was below that would be fine, but above it would be Brilliant. Ordered worth of Chinese food and sent OH off to collect between and Arrived only to be told the order wouldn't be ready until OH explained the conversation with member of staff and was told that it would be put through immediately and ready in minutes. Very sorry. Brilliant. OH waited until appointed time. Still not ready. Appointed time comes and goes. Told that oops, it actually wasn't ordered at but would order now but wouldn't be ready until Not at all brilliant. Have been looking for a way to contact them to let them know how utterly **** this service is but no method of doing so unless we want to wait in the telephone queue for god knows how long to be told that no-one is available. No email address, no feedback form. They rely on their good name locally but really this is not good enough.
Partner took me here for my birthday dinner. Have been to the cotton house for sit-in and takeaway many times and it never disappoints! The food was so good and the service was excellent and the staff are so attentive and polite. We had just...ordered our deserts and some more drinks when we were asked if we could move to another table as another booking had turned up with extra people and they were going to need the space. We were moved to another nice table and the staff carried out drinks etc. They then told us they were giving us our desserts and a round of drinks for free. We felt this was not at all necessary as it wasn't an inconvenience to us at all but it was such a nice gesture. When the bill then arrived they had given us all of our drinks for free and the desserts. We left a good tip and thanked them so much but o hope they see this as it really was above and beyond and we could not have had better service. Thank you!
I had lunch with my wife today. beautiful atmosphere and a great service. jo went out to make sure we had a wonderful lunch. the food was delicious and for lunch the portions were more than enough. I would have the day of the cotton house or...Night big eat, great service, thank you.
