Terrible food. Overcooked burgers, warm limp salad ontop of fried fish, peas swimming in water, crème brulee tasted fridgey . Despite roaring log fires the dining room was cold, smoke/burning smells from the kitchen filled the pub, and there was a strong smell of stale cooking oil.
beautiful environment, eat excellent and coworkers very friendly and polite. parked car and went an hour on moor and a good hearty meal and drink after our return. so the access of dogs and even our dogs were relaxed after their walk through fire.
I ordered the fillet steak. It was a meagre portion the steak was quite dry and very little salad with very few chips. Disappointed. Two other guest a ordered Risotto again quite small portions. Another guest ordered fish and chips which was good.
Restaurant was chosen as we were all coming in from different directions so was central. Festive menu and regular menu were offered and there was plenty of choice for the vegetarian in the party. Waitress was attentive and food came in good time. Réservez une table maintenant
Portion size was very small, a total ripoff I must say they are only charging for the views, the food was not up to the mark at all, steak is way too small no mash and vegetable served. A big disappointment for the family.
weather was good, so amazing. cow calf is a popular irrigation hole with friends from Canada, a great place to know that we have good food good service with good looks to cover it all, a Canadian server also!
It was a 90th birthday and they were excellent and attentive. We had 1 table of 4 and one of 6 because of covid regulations. It was a lovely surprise for grandad. Thank you

a quiet accommodat Monday evening in restaurant, but the standard of food was very good and the service friendly. we had a nice evening.
