what a beautiful surprise! we were just for a walk around cuckmere and were looking for a bite to eat and happened on this beautiful pub. we were immediately greeted by the beautiful dame that leads the cricketer who was very friendly. it was cold outside so great to see the kamin that warmed up the place inward! I was the cake of the day that was venison and it did not disappoint! perfect bake! my other half had scampi served with some wonderful three-fold boiled chips. the prices were good too! we were in a lot of country-style pubs, but this one really has all boxes. including dog friendly. really a big smile on our face! thank you.

beautiful pub! we stayed here for lunch and a pint on our country walk and were very satisfied with our decision. the homemade chips were really good, definitely recommend. we also enjoyed our burgers.

great land pub with amazing food. service is fantastic, our waiter named cat was brilliant. will definitely visit again, but remember to book them a table to avoid disappointment

Lovely Sunday roast in a cute traditional English pub. Nice garden outside too. Dogs allowed inside too. (chicken roast in the picture)
