We had a wonderful dining experience at The Crown last week. The appetizers on the specials board caught our eye, and we ended up sharing lobster fish cakes, duck spring rolls, and halloumi - all of which were delicious and beautifully presented. The menu was surprisingly extensive given the current post-covid restrictions, giving us plenty of options to choose from. For our main courses, I enjoyed a flavorful and filling five spiced chicken salad, while my husband loved his spicy prawn linguine. Chose The Crown as it was on the TasteCard website, nearby, and had good TA reviews. We were not disappointed. Good service, nice range of drinks, decent veggie options, and a calm/relaxed atmosphere. 100% recommend the veggie spring roll starter and the fish and chips (hubby described them as a the best fish and chips [I 've] had in ages . So pleased that we made a snap decision!
I recently visited the Crown for the second time and I absolutely love this village pub. It is perfect for a family outing or a quiet meal. The food is excellent and the service is top-notch. I didn't feel rushed at all and it was a great place to unwind. I highly recommend making a reservation for large groups. You won't be disappointed with the quality of the food.
for the first time with a group of 15 male friends in this country pub. the decor is very welcoming as the personal. Eating was much better than the normal pub food, really well presented and obviously freshly cooked. I had the steak that was cooked to perfection. excellent. will soon go back with the woman. Thank you.

We went for a Sunday Roast and were so impressed went back three weekends running. Since then we have been in once or twice for a beer and recently tried their Curry night, which was a three course for 20 quid with a free drink.... and was amazing quality!. Really like the place, would recommend to anyone.
on Saturday afternoon we have lunch and eat some pints. very comfortable chairs. that was delicious. the gold and mate phil’s doom bar of my thatcher met. friendly local and excellent service from efficient bar staff. would see it again, next in buckingham.
we had a very pleasant Christmas dinner. eating was well prepared and delicious, and my test for all lunch, I didn't make hungry! . my only reason not to give five stars is that I would have hoped to have brot with the smoked salmon-catcher.
The service was friendly and the food was delicious, with generous portion sizes so be mindful of that! This restaurant is a true village pub with a diverse menu offering plenty of options to choose from.

such a beautiful family run gastro pub. our second time here and one of my absolute love of life. the chef came out to say hi! amazingly fresh all homemade foods.
Very warm and friendly. Lovely food. Really delicious Sunday roast.
