Absolutely disgusting beef roast that needed get sent back. The beef was the toughest and most overcooked beef I’ve ever had on a roast dinner. To be fair they refunded me immediately and I’m assuming that’s because they’re used to the complaints. Fur almost £21 for a roast you expect better. I commented to the server when it arrived within 60 seconds of ordering that ‘this was the quickest I’ve ever been served in a pub’, he said, you’ve just caught lucky we’re usually super busy!!! Very nice environment with some lovely staff working. The area is also very lively.Everyone is really friendly and available. They payed closed attention to me and my friends making sure we were satisfied with the service. Love coming here whenever there is a football match or any kind of match as they can handle big crowds very well. I also come every Sunday now since they have live music playing. A specific thank you to Mara who has been so welcoming and always smiling. I came in with my dog and she was so nice and offered a drink for my furry friend.
A nice traditional pub which is spacious and has good tables for large groups. Decent enough range of drinks served by friendly staff behind the the bar. The lunch time menu has a reasonably priced choice of sandwiches including a drink, which was served quickly and presented well enough, but the fish goujon option was a little disappointing with hardly any fish actually inside. A good atmosphere though and a nice option for a relaxing drink in the area.
Really nice food. Attentive service, nice atmosphere. Sausage and mash was excellent, drinks were good. Guinness was well kept and good selection of spirits.
