This restaurant is an absolute mess. It desperately needs a deep clean and new carpets to get rid of the unpleasant smell. There was a broken window in my room, which is dangerous especially with my 11-year-old daughter there. The toilet wouldn't flush and we arrived to a freezing cold pub. We had to ask for the heating to be turned on. The food was overpriced and there was no atmosphere in the pub either. We had booked for 2 nights but ended up leaving after just one because it was so bad in multiple ways. I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs. The unhelpful staff refused to reimburse us for the second evening and still took payment.
I had been wanting to visit this pub for a while, so we stopped in for Sunday lunch. We didn't mind that it was a bit quiet because it meant we got the best seats in the house right by the roaring open fire. The food was excellent and plentiful, and the landlord, David, took good care of us. A village pub definitely worth visiting.
This restaurant is cold and smelly, in need of a thorough cleaning and update. The staff could also use some improvement. This was the worst restaurant we visited in the Lakes area. We couldn't bear to stay for a second night, yet were still charged.
Lovely Inn set off set from the A590 not far from Ulverston... Very friendly staff lovely cozy fire in the pub like the picture shows.... Enjoyed the food.... Looks like a little mid summers. Set in the country side.

Dropped in a couple of times with family, we were on a new year holiday. Food was excellent, service was efficient and a very pleasant experience at a busy time. Will definitely call back when in the area.
the place is cold and stinking. it needs a good clean and intelligent one. the personal must also become smart. worse place where we were in seen. could not stay the 2nd night, but still charged?

Lovely place, warm cosy atmosphere, friendly staff and massive portions of delicious food. Would absolutely recommend.
