Awful from the beginning. Sat down and didn’t get our order taken for at least 15 minutes… however it was Saturday night, it was busy, I get it. Drinks take another 15 minutes to come and get given to the table next to us. Left on that table for 10 minutes before they realised. Got given a jug of water for the table with no glasses. We assumed they were coming and waited for 10 minutes at least before going to the bar to ask for some. Food took over an hour to come which is fine if it’s worth the wait. It wasn’t. The burgers were nice however the dirty fries came cold so were sent back. They had obviously microwaved them because 2 minutes later they came back hot and soggy with the plastic c...
I really really really wanted to like this place. It seemed like such bad nice place from the outside but I just can't give it another go. I've been in here multiple times now, just for a few beers on my own, and it just feel backwards. You have patrons constantly slagging each other off having a domestic in what is essentially an empty bar. You have sky sports on multiple tellys, playing sport commentary, but you can't hear them because the music is so loud. If it's 6.30 on a thursday at night, you don't need loud music, you need that later when the party has started. Charming and cozy family-friendly pub with a relaxed atmosphere, where the staff is friendly and attentive and the food is delicious. We have been here multiple times in the past month and have been very impressed. This has become our new favorite spot to visit regularly. Special shoutout to Rory for taking great care of us.
Was a little apprehensive after reading the reviews on here...but it was lovely...all 9 of us enjoyed the meals we chose, it has a relaxed atmosphere which in turn relaxes you, far better than going to a stuck up place, the staff were very nice too...so thank you Crown Inn you now have new customers.

Just visited the Crown for a fish and chip lunch, superb well worth the money. 100% better than it was 12 months ago. Now under new management and well worth a visit. Will be back for more soon.
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant for Sunday dinner. The food was cold, the gravy was watery, and the Yorkshire puddings were burnt. I will not be returning.
I went to this restaurant for a meal. Unfortunately, I had to wait for 50 minutes for the most disappointing food I have ever had. I will not be returning.
Absolutely beautiful. Had the pulled pork dirty fries and they were beautiful. Amazing quality and flavoured pork. Very friendly and helpful environment!

Really enjoyed our meal, great service and food. Good variety on the menu, steak perfectly cooked and a lovely atmosphere. Well priced menu too!
