Went here for a drink on our way back to Fenchurch Street station. How many times have we walked past this pub but never gone in! It's big inside with a traditional feel. The weather was ok so we sat outside on the pavement area...which has a couple of tables, and enjoyed the late afternoon sun.
Stayed at Doubletree by Hilton in Pepys St. Asked for pub recommendation (and was sent to awful sports bar) but luckily found this little gem just over the road from the back of the hotel. Delightful little pub, serving delicious food, with a lovely ambiance....Staff v helpful. Highly recommend.
The pub is very well located in the City, plus the beer garden in the backyard makes it perfect for an after-office gathering. We were served by Claudia who was very polite and welcoming with us.
Whiled away a number of hours yesterday. The manageress Helen runs a very efficient and tight ship culminating in the serving staff being very attentive, friendly and efficient. Réservez une table maintenant
