The Cuban Mix - Réservation de table

After eating the fish tacos off 'The Cuban Mix' food truck my wife and I looked at one another and shook our heads in a negative manner. I decided not to write a review because I don't like giving 'poor' reviews of small, possibly new, and/or struggling businesses. Today, we ordered the same meals, fish tacos, at 'Reliable Fish & Chips' on Queen St. East in Toronto and were blown away. Both the quality and quantity at 'Reliable' blew 'Cuban Mix' right out of the water. So I changed my mind about writing a review. Sometimes when something's bad you've got to just shout it out.

Just finally tried this food truck for the first time last month and I have been back 4 times since. I might be obsessed... The fish tacos are delicious but the portion is smaller than other meals you can get (according to my mom) and the chicken fajita is a HUGE portion. A large tortilla over-stuffed with veggies, salsa, sour cream, chicken etc and served with fries. Not bad for $9! Highly recommend to check it out before winter comes and its gone. Even those who do not enjoy Cuban food will find something on the menu that will satisfy.

They have a good variety of items outside of the usual burgers, fries, dogs, and poutine. The Cuban sandwich is good but could be better jf the pork was better. And the fish tacos could use a crema instead of simple sour cream. But it is a nice change of pace.

Good food at reasonable prices. What more can you ask? I really like the "Cuban bowl" which hit the spot without bread. The only disadvantage is the location which is a parking lot but it's close to the falls and the Main Street. Réservez une table maintenant

I was there this summer when it opened. I was so amaze how great it was. Real Cuban food and delicious. The lady is a Cuban and manage the truck with her husband. Lovely lovely people. Can't wait for next year that they reopen

Portions size is an issue here , just not enough food here for the cash requested. Menu offerings on the seafood side could be much improved upon. Too bad - so sad...

We tried the Cuban sandwich and it was pretty ordinary. Not much of a sandwich honestly. Good location but food not worth a return visit. Réservez une table maintenant

Awesome fish tacos! Went for a snack and split an order of fish tacos. Best ever, wish I could have had more. So flavorful and fresh.

What happened? I have only eaten here once before, about 7 years ago, and remembered liking it much more then.
