Have heard about this welcoming café since the day it opened. Now I experienced why. It is "good for the soul" as soon as you walk in. Crowded tables, a guitar, beautiful local work, delicious smells greeted me as I entered to meet a girlfriend. Free, yummy samples of baked goods were offered. Homemade breads were on the counter. We each ordered the popularsanta fe eggs- crepes filled with scrambled eggs and feta cheese, topped with mixed cheese and fresh salsa and added roasted potatoes. The portions were large and the tastes were delicious.Art nights and music nights also happen here. Google the Song for this café.Can't wait to go back!

Been here quite a few times, the coffee is great, baked goods are delicious and I had the French onion soup a few times which is very yummy. But if your going for breakfast avoid the Eggs Benedict! The last couple times I had ordered it here the cook has never been the same which resulted in the eggs being overcooked, dry bun, and hollandaise sauce was broken, and there was very little of it. Waiter didn't even come back to ask if everything was good. If two Eggs Benny's are gonna cost $35 I would expect it to be cooked properly. Definitely won't be going back for breakfast anymore.

We stopped by on our way to Cape Breton for a quick light meal. The room was full and busy- the service was tough. We ordered seafood chowder and a salad - food was ok but took awhile to be served- and utensils were dropped on the floor on the approach- gave us another set- but difficult to give this a thumbs up.We ate and left. It was "cutesy frog decor and ok local venue- eat inside on on the porch outside. We were glad to try it but felt it was a bit expensive for what we ordered - and service was mediocre.May have just been a busy day-local spot people seem to enjoy.

I went to The Cup of Soul Cafe for my first time this afternoon because a friend had given me a gift card and I happened to pass by on my travels. I am so thankful I had the experience of visiting this quaint cafe! I enjoyed a delicious bacon breakfast sandwich on a biscuit with a coffee. I had to eat on the run and couldn't enjoy the relaxing atmosphere to its full extent but I will be coming back and letting my friends and family members know about this gem in Elmsdale.

Despite arriving 30 minutes till close on a holiday, we were welcomed I and gave a great meal. With full respect of allergies, likes and dislikes, what a great meal. From a simple breakfast with great homemade toast to incredible French Onion soup to the cinnamon buns. On top of that they had instruments for us to play while we waited.

My son and I stopped in to enjoy a bite on the balcony. It was a beautiful day and we took advantage of this. He order the chicken Shwarma and I , the bowl of Chowder with a biscuit. Both were delicious! Topped off with a NS brewed beer it was a perfect lunch.
