This place has changed hands a few times in the last couple of years I think, and although it hadn't been quite what it used to be, the overall quality has really deteriorated. The new outdoor area is great, but unfortunately that is about the only plus. Fresh orange juice was watered down so much their was no flavour, the muesli seemed suspiciously like the stuff we have in a box at home. The poached eggs hadn't been drained at all, to the point where you could smell the vinegar and the bread beneath was totally saturated, to the point it disintergrated. The quality of the food and the service here seemed to be becoming consistently worse but we though we would give them a second chance as...
We've lived nearby for quite some time now and had been looking forward to trying The Cutlery Draw and we're extremely disappointed. Walked in about 9.30am on a Saturday morning, the restaurant was quiet, walked up to look at the cakes and get menus and were not acknowledged by the two young staff members behind the counter, even when our drinks/food was brought out they couldn't manage a smile. Coffee was nice but way over priced, cakes weren't appetising so ordered a ham & cheese croissant which was garbage, it was plastic cheese, not even real cheese! Better options close by, won't be returning!
Had a bit of time to waste and decided to check out the Cutlery Drawer for coffee and cake. My coffee, whilst not the most generous size cup was delicious, the orange cake to die for. I was only going to eat half of it but couldn't stop myself. Moist and full of flavour with mandarine pieces on top - I believe baked at the premises if I heard right. The service was friendly, with a smile and I can't wait for an excuse to return there with friends.
We had heard a few people rave about this place and finally decided to check it out.I would say it's just an average cafe and nothing to really rave about.We ate off the breakfast menu and it was okay quality and reasonably priced.The service was polite and the food arrived quite quickly.Nothing bad to say but I don't think We'll be rushing back.

This small cafe in one of Perth Southern suburbs is a little gem. It now is extending an outside dining area as well. The food is good value for money and plenty of choice. Staff were very pleasant. It is a BYO cafe. Don't go to expect a view but to enjoy great food service and company whilst you dine. Will be back there soon.
A lovely little BYO restaurant with good service and nice food. Had dinner with friends and we were welcomed and well looked after. Food was very nice - very filling. Staff suggested entrees and were spot on with the choices. They accommodated our numbers by changing the entrée sizes for us. Overall well done.
Great food and service. Personal touch from chef is a welcome treat! A great local cafe that is reliable for excellent food and service every time. Menu is very good value and BYO makes it a very affordable choice for couples or families. They make great coffee too!
Went here on Sunday and was very disappointed with the food. The chicken tenderloins were like chicken nuggets and there was nothing cordon bleu about the veal schnitzel. Don't waste your money.

Great for a drop in meal. The menu has good options, staff are friendly and it is priced reasonably. Has both indoor and outdoor area.
