The Dark Horse Tavern

I will characterize this establishment as a bar with good food. They seem to redesign the look and have tuned enough TV screens with ball and puck games to qualify as a sports bar in my book. It seemed that we were three of the only cartridges there especially for food, but the staff was polite and attentive, and we never felt ignored during our time there. Most restaurants in the area are closed up to 9PM for new customers, which has been a problem for us for years. We come to this area to visit the Greater Long Island Dental Meeting annually, and some of the course work extends into the evening, limit dinner options quite a bit. The search for the Dark Horse Tavern was reputable.

We planned a private 50th birthday celebration with Jay. The entire staff was incredible throughout the whole night. They all seemed genuinely happy to be a part of the celebration. The food, the service, the space all perfect. Thank you Dark Horse team.

Love the decor! Nice bar. You have a garage door that opens in summertime. It brings the outside in. The bartenders are really good. You have some TVs, I love the seats at the bar. This is a great place to hang. I'm sure the younger crowd is leaning.

The server was great! Perfect example for a tavern! Amazing variety of beers on Hahn. They had a big **** Mary and the Jamison tea was a real pouring. When you visit this big city, make this a stop.

Great food. Fish and chips were delicious. Blue cheeseburger was great! The staff was very accommodating. Take us to an area that was quieter than the regular bar. Very nice place.
