This was one of the WORST customer service experiences I have ever had, which is disappointing for your chefs, because the food was quite nice. However, my table of 8 could not look past how rude your front of house staff were. After lining up to order for quite a while (I know, not your problem, but still), we ordered four garlic breads for our table. Our initial order consisted of 8 items and the girl at the counter advised that the limit per buzzer was 6, so we were issued with 2. When we went to collect our meals, surprisingly, there were only 2 meals ready - steak and one kids pizza. Eventually 2 garlic breads were ready for collection. Glen Hotel has been at the same location over 35 years, which is well before the completion of Free way to Gold Coast. I saw its successful in terms of business development and now they even extend to provide accommodation facility in a contemporary complex. The meals served in the Garden Gille are average and they do have specials on each day except Fri and Sat. However, I don't think these promotions attract me except the Wed 2 for 1 steak, which is easily achieved on other neighborhood hotels such as Sunnybank Hotel, HQ Hotel and Runcorn Tavern.
8 times out of 10 all eating areas are booked out for functions, leaving only the public bar and grass area to dine. This is not ideal with 2 young children, who would love nothing more than to play in your fantastic playground, but cant because we risk losing the only table available at the back of the venue to supervise them whilst playing. A designated general public dining area needs to be assigned.
Nice venue open and modern with a lot of different options to sit. Front of house were not the friendliest bar staff very friendly. Standard pub fair but done quite well crispy chips nice fresh salad good dressing. I had a schnitzel and gravy which was good my partner had the Barramundi and really enjoyed his meal for $32 for 2 people very good value

Excellent service and food, though the options for vegetarians are limited - I didn't mind as it was done so well! Do try the Veggie Stack. This was our go-to during our stay at The Glen for breakfast and dinners. The energy of the staff in this restaurant was admirable.
Been here a few time with friends and the prices are good and the servings are fantastic. Good food, Keno, big lizards walking underneath your table is funny and plenty of car park. It just needs a better view instead of watching cars flying across Logan road.
This place is quite nice. Good service i enjoy someone who knows their wines serving me. The place is a little expensive for what it is but no complaints about the meals. My ribs were huge, tender and tasty. The oysters were fresh from coffin bay.
Worst customer experience, staff were impatient and not helpful, had to wait for ages for staff to be at the cashier to make orders. Feel sorry for the chefs, great food ruined by shocking services.

Great deals for lunch and dinner, some char grilled steak with fries and salad, burgers, pizza, wraps, daily hot roast meal with roasted vegs and gravy, or spicy coated fried calamari tapas~
Meals at the Deck have gone downhill this year. Had the lamb and the meat was so tough my knife had trouble cutting through it. Won't be having a pub meal there again. Very disappointed.
