The Deland Stockyard

It's good, but can't say I'm back. I was there early on Friday night, sitting immediately on a strange round table near the bar. Waitress was very nice and attentive and atmosphere was pleasant. We started with the roasted Calamari appetizer, father got a Caesar salad as one of his sides, and I had to give the French onion a try. The salad came out almost immediately. There were another 5 minutes for soup and Calamari. No complaints about the time for hot food, but the salad should have been kept until the other items were ready. This area has a serious lack of restaurants offering brunch. I was disappointed when I found out the Stockyard discontinued their brunch. However, the menu selection was enough to be a decent brunch spot when you 're trying to avoid the downtown DeLand Bike Week traffic. The hostess seated us quickly and it wasn 't busy at 11:30 when we got there. Thankfully, they still served mimosas and we had excellent service which lessened the no brunch blow. We ordered the Boom Boom Shrimp and Gator Tail as appetizers. They didn 't quite stand out against our other meals but not bad either. Been twice now every time we had the Old Fashion Sirloin with pages. We were quite impressed by the steak it was very well cooked perfect the first time and a little overcooked the second time, but overall we enjoyed it. I would recommend that the bathroom is clean the dining and bar area clean. So if you decide to try bon appetite.

This place was so great!! Good food... but a great place for outdoor children was perfect. The staff was amazing, and the guy who played music has involved our children in karaoke and they danced away our children are 2 and 3 and it's always hard to go but I was so grateful for this environment after the day on the beach:

The food here was exquisite, I don't remember the last time I had a steak perfectly cooked, cudos to the cook. Our server, Melanie was great. We will definitely come back for more.
