I want to ensure that the waitress who served us is not blamed for our disappointing experience at the restaurant we visited in Washington D.C. I have been a regular customer at this venue and I usually have a great time there. However, this time was different. My mom and made an 11:30 reservation for 12/25. We arrived on time and seated. 1st issue: we were given one menu and then the waitress quickly exchanged it for another prix fixe dinner menu for $65. We asked for a manager who said that brunch ended at 11:30 and this was the menu. I said that Open Table didn’t include this info and offered to pull up my reservation. He switched menus, and huffed away saying he’d have to contact Open Table. Dope vibes, nice atmosphere mixed with an amazing waitress(mad I forgot her name) and the BEST BARTENDER IN DC (CEASAR) you can't go wrong. The food was amazing and I feel like we tried everything on the menu!!! My favorite was the crab cake OMG HEAVEN IN MY MOUTH!!!! Our waitress was super attentive and made sure we had everything that we needed mixed with her super sweet personality we were very thankful to have her. Make sure to pull up on CEASAR for the best drinks in town with great conversation, he kept our drinks flowing and gave some good tips on things to do while in town .Next time I'm in DC I'll be pulling back up at THE DELEGATE ?
Here now. We were told our table would be ready by 12:30pm and we sat down maybe around 12:35. We immediately ordered because we had some place to be by a certain time . The time is now 1:27pm and all I’ve had was a glass of orange juice. No food has come no server has checked on us. We finally caught one girl to ask about the food and told her we had to go and to place the food in Togo boxes. And we have still yet to receive any food . However we have have received a check. But still no food . Smh !

The service was slow from the start with only 2 menus for three people. The server, while pleasant and friendly was slow to provide water and take our order. Then one of the meals was delivered 30 minutes after the other two. We were ignored during that wait and the restaurant made no attempt to compensate or even apologize. The food was of standard to poor quality, especially for the price.
Name on open table starting as “milk honey” was entirely misleading. The hostess did not seem happy when me and several other groups were asking about the name considering it’s only a few items on the menu from milk honey. Food was tasty but would’ve wanted to know if I was preparing to sit in a hotel lobby for a brunch at the wrong restaurant.
The good was Medicore at best. We had to ask for water every time instead of this being instant refills. I ordered chicken and biscuits and received what looked like chicken nuggets with very little gravy for the 2 biscuits.
The server was excellent and very knowledgeable. The food was fantastic. I wasn't aware beforehand that the restaurant had high top bar tables, which made it a bit loud, but overall it was a nice experience.

Food was good. They were somehow out of Coca Cola. Staff was courteous but incredibly slow. It was not even 1/4 full and staff had no urgency to provide service.
My overall experience was very good. And Ceasar was an EXCELLENT
