First time at this restaurant. Chose the place since it was close for people to converge. Was there a few minutes early and I had to have a gin and tonic. Their selection for both is very good. They provide the tonic on the side, for one to mix as they wish at their table. New and appreciated.Service was very helpful and conversation enjoyable.We all had Montreal Smoked Meat sandwiches. Calgary restaurants tout their ability to replicate the sandwich from Montreal, but they generally cannot. This restaurant has a great new take on the sandwich, i.e, braised and smoked. Stopped by this bar on a Friday night around 11/1130pm, there was a table of 5 just leaving as we arrived. Other than my two girlfriends and I, there was one couple sitting at the bar. Based on the location, beautiful western decor and it being a Friday night, I would have expected it to be a busy spot. Even live music at the least. It was disappointing. My friends tried the chocolate mousse, which tasted delicious but very sweet. Neither could finish the dessert. The staff was tentative and friendly. I would recommend this place if you're looking for a more relaxed atmosphere.
The decor is a kind of modern western - very Albertan. The atmosphere is good. It can seem a bit dead but honestly it's bigger than it seems. Plus it's nice to be able to hold a conversation without shouting. The cocktails are varied and high quality. Whether you want gin or something else, there's something for everyone. The food selection is pretty good and although I've only had the cheese and meat board it was quite good.Service has been excellent every time I've been in. A good place to go.
Went here with a group of 10 this week. This is a really nice bar with good music and relaxed atmosphere. The range of drinks and standard is really good, and the staff were really fast and polite. It was just let down by the food. I went for the steak frites and got the smallest steak I have ever gotten served. My wife had the meatball ragout which was ok but a bit bland. I would still go here for drinks but wouldn't recommend eating, I think you can do better nearby.

For the past two evenings, we have dined at The Mill. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about their products, made us feel very welcome, and were very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would recommend it to anyone visiting Calgary who enjoys gin. You will not be disappointed!
Checked this spot out after the Calgary Underground Film Festival debut at the Globe Cinema. Enjoyed a fantastic cocktail made with locally produced Parlour Gin and swayed to the Euro beats laid down by an epic live DJ. A place to see and be seen if you are in the creative community.
We didn't sample the food menu however, the cocktails and service were top shelf. Super comfortable room with knowledgeable and friendly staff. The owner was behind the bar and involved in everyone's experience, very cool to see! Would happily recommend for good times all around.
Stopped by on a Friday night for one drink and ended up staying for snacks. Large selection of gins. Enjoyed a great bottle of wine. Food was great - beef tartare, and baked brie. Both excellent! Would definitely go again!

Had my first visit here today and would say it exceeded my expectations. The menu may be small but the quality was spot on for a business lunch and it was complemented by some great service. I'll definitely be back again.
Great service and a fabulous atmosphere. Just shared the smoked beef tartar - absolutely amazing! 5 stars!
