The Dial House

We booked early and although the restaurant was almost empty the service although charming) was slow. When we wanted a quick lunch, we ordered sandwiches - my friend had a steak sandwich £10) and I had a club sandwich £11). Both were on thick cut sourdough, which was very difficult to cut/cut. My club sandwich was described on the menu as a chicken, egg, salad and bacon, but the egg was thrown and cold, no bacon, but ham, and the salad was tired and limp, so it was tasteless and boring. My friend's sandwich was also subdued with cold steak and sour wort. On the plus side our chips were good! We had both good food at previous visits, and really like the ambience, so it was a shame to find the food so disappointing.

A beautiful place to eat, but perhaps asked for a table outside the main dining area, because that can be quite loud. The fish we had was perfectly cooked, the appetizers were sublim, nothing was fed over and all the flavors were subtle.

1. Let's see the dial house. Was there for Sunday dinner. Great service and nice food. Bounty Bar Desert to die.
