What a wonderful pub and location! This is a little gem of a place. Steve who was waiting on in the evening could not do more for the customers and was really attentive and amiable. I ate a starter portion of mussels and chips and Steve brought extra bread for the sauce without asking! This was ample for me as a main course and so tasty. Extremely attractive interior and everyone super friendly. To top it off there is a beautiful canal walk to the rear of the car park and Dawn is happy for you to stay in a camper in the car park for free if you pop in for a drink/food. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back
We really enjoy our evenings in The Dolphin wether that be for the fortnightly quiz (we won once which was nothing short of a minor miracle! or Jam nights (I don’t sing or play an instrument in public but you can’t help joining in as it’s such a relaxed atmosphere or just for a drink and now recently amazing food prepared by Liam Tinsley aka “Feast” Coby the landlord (with Ed is superb and Joules are lucky to have him representing their brand. We’ve met some lovely friendly people here too who have become friends. Take a bow Coby you star!
Really nice proper pub, we were just passing through Shrewsbury and planned to stop for food but got caught up in some horrible Friday evening traffic and stumbled across the pub. The chap behind the bar kindly found some space for us and our 2 ravenous children, we had some really delicious American style deli sandwiches, filled with meats so they were good value! I could have quite happily stayed for a few pints here but unfortunately the road called.
An amazing pub! Fantastic atmosphere, amazing service and incredible Joule's Ales...Coby and his staff go the extra mile to make you feel welcome! The music nights and the quiz night are brilliant! The Dolphin is an amazing local pub! Fantastic tasty food is provided by Feast by Liam Tinsley. The Dolphin is truly a gem of a pub! Highly recommended!

Lovely pub, friendly helpful staff, and the live in, Press De Cuba restaurant food was banging I know they aren't the same business but can't say enough good about it.
This was my brother Ian’s favourite pub and Coby kindly arranged a wonderful send off reception for him today. Everything was perfect. Thankyou.

Looks a little rough and ready from the front, but lovely old interiors inside. Food was really good!
