The Dutchie Express Thornton Heath

I rarely write negative reviews, but after my recent experience, I feel compelled to share. The food at Dutchie Express was so terrible that I cannot in good conscience overlook it. If I could, I would give this restaurant zero stars. We decided to treat ourselves for my partner's birthday by ordering from Uber Eats, spending over £50. After waiting for an hour and 10 minutes, our order arrived missing the jerk pork we had requested. The jerk pork that did arrive was actually chicken, and it was cold. The plantain we ordered was also cold and hard, most of it ended up in the trash. The boneless curry goat we paid £16.95 for was simply a tub of oil with only one small piece of meat in it. The...

The food at this restaurant is delicious. We tried the bite n salt fish and curry goat with rice, as well as the fish plate. Everything was nicely presented and arrived promptly. We have leftovers for tomorrow. I highly recommend this restaurant. The dutchie express was especially well-made. We will definitely be ordering from them again.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS delivery time kept going up and up and up, reaching over an hour after original estimated time… no answer at the restaurant after ringing multiple times! Food was bland, although portion size was good, rice had no flavour, gravy was awful and coleslaw was dry and flavourless. Huge disappointment

The portion sizes were good and the fried chicken was delicious and crispy. Unfortunately, I did not care for the BBQ sauce and the coleslaw was very dry, possibly due to delivery. It lacked any moisture.
