Normally I wouldn't do that but the review is for staff and not for the food. Food was nice every time we went there and prices are very low according to the portion of food. I normally had nice time eating here but not today. Today one of the girls working there did a very rude gesture related to my 20 months old boy and I felt very offended. My son was playing with the sugars and she just came and took it from our table, she didn't bother to ask, she was just assuming that my son opened the sugar and did a mess but he didn't. Shame it’s right at the end of the high street and I have never come across this place! Such a lovely restaurant, good varied menu and excellent quality. Breakfast was ordered and served within 10 mins, piping hot and the toast was great! The price is a little more compared to the usual cafes I visit, you would usually expect a tea or coffee in the price, here you have to pay seperate. And £2.50 for a pot of tea is steep, hence why 4 star. If the prices could be increased by and extra £1 and include a hot drink then it would make them more competitive with their competitors.
Popped in for breakfast/brunch , although cafe was very busy staff were very quick to take our drinks order , we ordered an all day breakfast and the steak and kidney pie with chips peas and gravy which came in its own little gravy boat) we waited about 15 minutes for our meals and was very pleased when they arrived good quality sausages and a great meat pie obviously heated in a real oven as crust was nice and crisp. Overall very good and well priced
Definitely our go to place in town. Great breakfasts. Fantastic Roast dinners, allsorts of options at great prices. Good friendly staff and never a long wait to eat. Excellent
