The day we’ve just spent at this museum has left us wishing we lived nearer so we could visit more often or even volunteer. The staff are all friendly and the exhibits are well spaced out so it all looks attractive. We were particularly impressed by the display boards beside each building. These are set out in columns so that you can access different types of information about each one. Firstly there was a description of the previous owners/inhabitants; then the use to which the building had been put and lastly how and when it was moved. The last type of information often revealed how little time the rescuers had been allowed to complete operations. The refreshments are excellent and sandwic...

a fascinating place to spend half a day. there is a good number of rescued and reconstructed buildings that are pulled out of the middle when they were “at risk”. the system is relatiw compact and easy to foot, but without feeling overcrowded. several of the buildings are equipped with artifacts of a reasonable age or equipped to give a feeling for their working life. all exhibits have an information field that describes the building structure, its use and where possible a history of their former inmates. Voluntary were also to be given by some of the buildings to provide more information. the whole is in a fairly flat planted anwesen with decent p thread in the main, although one or two are...

This place is a hidden gem! The beautiful buildings have been amazingly preserved, and there are plenty of knowledgeable staff available to answer any questions. There are also information boards throughout the property. Today, there was a Medieval reenactment taking place, which was very interesting. It was fun chatting with everyone and watching a mock battle.

Really enjoyed visiting Avoncroft, spent a good few hours here was really interesting seeing the old buildings. Was disappointing that some of the buildings had been vandalised as we would of loved to look inside them. But overall still a great day out : also there was a play area for kids too which looked popular. Réservez une table maintenant

Amazing! More than 30 buildings were saved from demolition, ranging from a simple privy to a large commercial building. This past weekend, the International Living History Festival took place with 30 exhibitors and over 20 stalls. Definitely worth a visit whenever it's open. Plus, free parking available.

I spent several hours at this museum that features a variety of buildings that were brought to this location for people to explore. In addition to the historic structures, the museum also houses a national collection of telephone boxes, which I found interesting. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

a fascinating view into social history, through various buildings that cover the epics. valuable support to get them. if they are very interested in telephone boxes from any reason (sometimes) then they have a small section for it.
