I went to this restaurant with my friends on a Friday night and the atmosphere was amazing. I returned for Sunday lunch to try the food and it was incredibly delicious. I wish I hadn't eaten breakfast beforehand because the meal took breakfast to a whole new level. I plan on trying the entire menu. On New Year's Eve, the staff and locals were friendly and it was a great time. The drink selection was impressive with a variety of gin, wine, beer, and cider. The only downside was the limited ale selection, which may not be ideal for ale enthusiasts. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and prices were great, and the restaurant is dog-friendly.
First time eating here since the pub changed hands, a welcoming atmosphere and some new beers on tap. The menu is quite varied but we both fancied burgers. The boyfriend had the cheeseburger, I am veggie and after asking if they could do a veggie alternative was advised they could do a mushroom and pepper pattie. It was absolutely delicious with 3 patties, crispy fries and homemade macaroni cheese and coleslaw. We were both absolutely stuffed and happy! This is our local and will definitely eat here again soon, looking forward to sampling the brunch menu next.
We visited this restaurant for lunch one day and for drinks the next. The food was excellent, from a diverse menu. With our kids in tow, we had different requirements that were all well accommodated. We all thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The drink selection was also impressive, and reasonably priced. Kudos to the team, and thank you for a great experience!
Popped in for dinner last Friday evening with my mum having not eaten here for a while and our first visit since the change in ownership. The burger was one of the best I’ve had, rivalling the London joints, and came with all the extras including a generous pot of fab mac cheese. Would highly recommend and looking forward to trying their brunch menu soon.

First time visiting the pub since the new owners have taken over. Two things worthy of the 5 stars Neck Oil on tap and the most delicious sausage muffin! My hubby had ‘The Parma’ and he loved it! Prices so reasonable and lovely, friendly staff. Awesome, thank you
My husband and myself decided to try out the new menu at the Eight Bells, under new management, and we weren’t disappointed. Imaginative, tasty food at reasonable prices and the service was quick and friendly. Definitely recommend a visit
Came for Christmas Eve dinner. Randal accommodated 10 of us, including a vegetarian. Oh my goodness, the most delicious food, huge portions, reasonable prices and a cosy, friendly environment. Wonderful, thank you
The food at this restaurant is excellent and the bar staff are fantastic. The drinks are reasonably priced and the delicious food is definitely worth the cost. I will definitely be returning here more often.
