Visited the English Inn for the first time on our anniversary. We travel to Door County often and always like to try new places. Checking out the menu online and reading through reviews made us comfortable this was a good choice. We were so happy to get a reservation considering it was only open 4+ hours per night. It is also very nice to be able to reserve a table, quickly, online. We arrived early and it was a packed house. Just enough time for a quick drink at the bar before we were sat. To put it simply, I adore this place. We went on a night that was a bit more chilly but each table outside has a fireplace in it, so I had to experience it. They offered blankets and made sure to bring our soups and appetizer out quickly to “warm us up.” The setting is beautiful, the atmosphere is unique and cool, the server was so nice and helpful and the food was delicious (escargot and then i got prime rib and my boyfriend got whitefish oscar). Just overall amazing. I don’t really write reviews, so that shows you what a great place this was! 100% recommend checking it out!
We had a wonderful dinner at a lovely Wisconsin supper club. The wait staff was fantastic. We enjoyed ribeye steak, beef Wellington, liver and onions, as well as a variety of appetizers including shrimp cocktail, artichoke dip, oysters Rockefeller, crab cakes, and calamari. The calamari was the only dish that fell short - it tasted more baked than fried and only had rings, no tentacles. However, the spinach salad with hot bacon dressing was exceptional.
A fantastic restaurant. Great food. Great service. Ornate beautiful atmosphere. Much more than you would think simply from the outside. But the outside dining and entry areas are great too. The menu prices are rather high; however, that's because all things considered, it's certainly worth it. I'd love to dine here again sometime if I'm ever in the area again. I had the ribs and my wife had the fish and it was all fantastic.

Amazing experience at The English Inn tonight. We were greeted right when we walked in the door and seated at the perfect table by the window. Our server, Nolan, was awesome . Top notch, genuine and fun service. The local Pistachio Encrusted Door County Whitefish was Phenomenal with the fresh carrots and Au Gratin potatoes. And the Spinach salad with Hot bacon
We liked the food and experience here so much we dined two nights in a row! Beef Wellington, the steak and the whitefish, oscar style, were all excellent as were the ice cream drinks, the service, and the outside fireside dining tables. If we didn't live so far away we'd be back often!
Our waitress Lindsey and the supporting staff were excellent and extremely professional throughout the dining experience. The meals were top notch and the atmosphere was rememberable. I look forward in coming here again in my next vacation in Door County.
New Years Eve dinner, promptly seated and served. The Beef Wellington was the best I've ever had. Husband had Halibut...also delicious, very rich. We love this restaurant, it treats you well.

My wife's favorite place, and I can honestly say I'm starting 2 fell the same way. Ambiance is 2nd 2 none, food excellent. Servers are top notch. Did I mention ice cold beer and great drinks
Very cozy place which was nice but expensive and I am just taking about a bottle of Coors light, nothing fancy. Did not eat here.
