We had a very disappointing visit tonight! First and foremost the young lady who helped us had the absolute worse personality—if you don’t like dealing with people you probably shouldn’t have a job in customer service. We’ve visited the stand twice now in the last few days, I’ve spent about $60 total. The first visit was wonderful. Then, it began to rain and we took our 7 young children under the tent where there was a table thinking we could let them enjoy the snowball they’ve waited all day for while staying dry only to be told we couldn’t sit there because of “liability “ if that’s the case then why didn’t you have the chains up to begin with? I don't understand all the people complaining about this wonderful snowball stand. We have been going there for years. The girls and guys that work there are always friendly and polite. There's snowballs and soft serve ice cream is delicious I only wish they were open year-round. I give them a 20 instead of a 10 they are absolutely positively great. My daughter moved to Georgia and used to live in arbutus. She is coming to visit the end of June and the first thing she said to me is I have to go to the Eskimo shack. I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. They served my girlfriend a $6 ice cream, and all she received was a lid filled with ice cream turned upside down. I specifically asked for a medium size, but I ended up with this small portion instead. Honestly, it tasted just like McDonald's ice cream. You'd be better off saving your money and going there; at least you'll get a larger serving. Additionally, this place is cash only, so keep that in mind. I won't be returning, which is disappointing since it’s so close to me.
Prices are high for a waffle cone and it changes depending on who's working but I do love the chocolate ice cream and I go on a rant for them until they close up for the year. That's another good thing about this place. They stay open waaaay longer in the colder months than any place else. Like end of October. And it the only snowball stand that I even go too . Every place else sucks so I'd rather Pay crazy money for a place that has awesome soft serve chocolate .

I ordered a medium snowball with ice cream for $6 and added a swirl of marshmallow for an extra 75 cents. The cups were flimsy and not styrofoam anymore, so they ended up leaking everywhere. To top it off, the server completely messed up my second snowball order. The prices, flavors, and overall experience were so much better before COVID. We ended up throwing our snowballs away—it felt like a waste of $14.
There are plenty of excellent choices, including shaved ice and soft serve. We visited to sample the halo halo, which was somewhat expensive but enjoyable. The seating area is pleasant, providing some shade on a hot day.
This is a fantastic little place that I visit frequently during the summer. The only downside is that they only accept cash. They also have some interesting Filipino-inspired dishes that are delicious!
The only down side, cash only, although I understand why. What great huge selection of cooling refreshments. I'll be a regular and can't wait to try on something else new
