What a fantastic place! Perfect mix of a traditional old building but very well presented. We booked a table to watch rugby then stayed for a meal in the bar so cannot comment on rooms or the more formal restaurant (although it looked busy). Service was great from the beginning, usually got table service for drinks of which there was a good range. When we ordered food it was quite quick to come and was excellent. Lovely afternoon had, will surely be back.
Friends catch up evening meal in bar Food mediocre , items missing from plate as menu description . Staff brought the missing chilli jam and sour cream in little dishes . Nothing to set this meal apart . But poor value for 17.50 . We looked at the dessert menu but were taken aback at the prices £9 for a slice of cheesecake !! Wow so did not order anything . The restaurant was bustling with diners both inside and outside, enjoying the pleasant weather. My partner and I met up with my cousin and her partner for a bar lunch here. The staff were friendly and the menu was well-presented with reasonable prices. Our total bill came to £82 for 3 soft drinks, 2 pints of lager, and 4 meals, which was less than expected. I would definitely return to this restaurant again.
Visited for a staff meal (30 diners) Food was nice, portion sizes varied for our starters between dishes (some huge portions, others seemed on the small side) Main courses were all well presented and tasted good. Each member of the group seemed to enjoy their meal and the ones I've spoken with since have only good things to say about the meal and service. Réservez une table maintenant
This restaurant is excellent. The room, food, and staff are all top-notch. The beer garden is lovely and makes you feel like you're out in the countryside rather than in the heart of Aberdeen. I will definitely be coming back here, although I tried to extend my stay for an extra night but they were fully booked.
I had a great experience at this restaurant. The rooms were nice, but the shower had a damp smell so I decided not to use it. The hotel itself was lovely, with friendly staff and delicious food. They had a good selection of drinks and beers, and the cooked breakfast was made to order and very tasty.
