Today, I had a negative experience with the door person at a restaurant. I was with my Italian female friend, and I am of Caribbean descent. It was clear that the doorman did not want to let us in because we were a mixed-race couple. He gave a weak excuse about my belt not being properly buckled. It was disappointing since my friend and I have frequented this pub on many Fridays. It's sad that we were stopped from enjoying our time and spending our money at our local pub. I didn't cause a scene as I didn't want to embarrass my friend, but this behavior is unacceptable. Management, take note of this incident.
This pub has great live music but unfortunately, the staff can be sexist. While it is one of the best places in London for entertainment, it can be difficult to enjoy a drink without experiencing sexist comments from male bar staff. I was made extremely uncomfortable when one staff member lightly hit me on the head after I declined a high five. Inappropriate jokes and comments followed, including mocking my dietary choices. Women should be able to enjoy a drink without being subjected to this kind of behavior. It's time for the staff to mature and show some respect in this day and age.
The Bartender refuses to serve us because one of us was wearing sweatpants, we thought was a joke as we use to go there in sweatpants all the time, especially when we used to go there to watch football matches. I use to go at The Finsbury couple of times per month, for 3 years, so I was quite shocked of this new rule.. Also, because is not mentioned on the web site and also from the security at the entrance. I've sent an email on the web site asking explanations about this new policy but no answer.
A cheap, mushy veggie patty is NOT okay there 's no excuse to offer such a **** burger option to vegetarians, my boyfriend was really disappointed bless him. I 'm guessing you were trying to tick the 'vegan friendly ' box as well as veggie? Well, you totally failed, nobody would like that. Sort it out management! Here are some decent alternatives: spicy bean burger, 'beyond meat ' burger, quorn burger, halloumi burger. On the plus side, it 's a cool venue and the staff are friendly. Awesome pub with a great atmosphere. Lovely bar staff who are very helpful with internet or any other issues. Tasty and reasonably priced baked pizza on site as well as some really innovative and interesting new bands through the interior doors and into the gig space of the pub. Great for a friendly chat or an evening having fun with friends who like LOUD music.
This restaurant has the worst service ever! We planned a birthday party there and specifically told the staff that when the birthday person arrived, they were supposed to bring the cake to the table. Instead, one of the staff members brought the cake in a plastic bag. It was a complete disaster!
