We arrived early, but eventually received our meals over an hour after our booking time. Most of the menu was off; it had been a busy week, apparently so there was no fish and chips, no pie, no mac 'n 'cheese, among others. The wait staff said she 'd have a look to see what WAS available . Ales largely not in stock and the one we had Tribute was truly horrible, vinegary and tart. The children 's starters arrived, then their mains: meanwhile not a sign of the adult meals. The wait staff said (twice) I TOLD you the children 's would come out first! . We were not impressed. The manager gave the children a free dessert, which was nice for them... in fact they did rather well out of the whole deb...
Everything lovely with friendly staff and good service. I had a tasty caesar salad with garkic bread which came with the option of chicken for a late lunch and felt it was a little small for a main course, otherwise would have given it 5 stars.
Fairly good food. Nice atmosphere. You can sit in an area of the bar with your dog. They need more staff and better management to make it run better. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
Had an enjoyable evening the meal was cooked well and of a good quality and the ambience was also good. The Firecrest was a first, which I would add was lovely to visit.

Great gastro pub set on the outskirts of Wendover The pub has a large beer garden which is great for sitting out and enjoying a summers evening.

Staff are always happy to help and very accommodating off our little one.
Don't go to this restaurant the food was terrible unless you like yesterday leftovers slightly warmed up on very cold plates.
