"Our food was great, our Pecan Pier Square was dying, but the waitress was the best. On everything and so beautiful and she seemed like a long lost friend we met with. Loves her and the place, very cozy atmosphere. Will return to try out other articles. Thanks for a wonderful time."

Just WOW! As my reviews show, I will take good service over good food But here is a place that you don't have to sacrifice anything. I was greeted with a warm righteous smile and my server helped me get a meal I can't say enough good things about. It started with the French onion soup . too often even fine dinning facilities make it French onion soup too salty, but not in the firehouse. It was absolutely delicious. I ordered half the rib (with the help of my great server). You know, when you read my reviews, I often travel, and I have to say that these ribs are in the top three I've ever had. Just awesome fall out of the bones juicy only WOW....The Hasch brown Cassier was worthy to be a meal in itself and to complete it I had the Pecan place for the desert, if you saw me you would know I like my deserts, and I would say that this in my Top 5 ever deserts was simply incredible. If you are a local and it has not been, it must be on your Bucket list and if you simply stop the time by its value. It is an experience not only dinner.

Quiet atmosphere, very clean with great staff and oh wow, the food... There simply isn't a barbecue sandwich or ribs restaurant that can touch them and it's been that way for close to 40 years. They are the picture of consistency. I always get the pulled pork sandwich, fries and baked beans with their blondie dessert and I never leave one bit uneaten (rare for me). If you haven't eat there, it's a part of Johnson City's history.

Overall, this was a nice experience. We had a 15 min wait at dinner time which I feel was within reason. The waitor was VERY good and on top of our entire meal. Our drinks were kept full and the food was great! The brisket and BBQ beans were quite satisfying. I will go back here again next time I'm in the area.

Really good! I have the volunteer sandwich with Broccoli salad. It was good, but the chicken used some spices. The Broccoli salad was really good tho. My daughter enjoyed her Carolina salad, and we both enjoyed the chocolate chip cookie with nuts and ice cream above. Will definitely go back there when in JC.
