The Flag And Whistle

Unfortunately we arrived just in time to see our train, with our friends on board, departing. We went in and had a really warm welcome, and a nice cup of coffee. We ere welcomed to stay until our friends caught up with us.Our friends eventually came and we had lunch together. The staff were again very helpful. There was a good choice of sandwiches, baguettes, warm food and so on. The service could have been a little quicker, but we were in no real hurry. It turned into a most enjoyable time together.Our thanks to the staff.

This has to be the worst post-dog walk treat for a Sunday morning. The bacon bap I received was old, cold, dry, and stingy for £4.90. If I had seen it before getting home, I would have returned it and asked why it is acceptable to serve this to paying customers. This does not seem financially sustainable. Word of mouth spreads quickly.

I arrived at this restaurant with a coach tour group after visiting Cheltenham and enjoying an afternoon train ride. We had booked afternoon tea, but unfortunately, I was not impressed. The sandwiches were very dry, and the tea was not hot enough. I left feeling disappointed.

I have to agree with Kathleen, we visited yesterday. The brown bread sandwiches were quite dry, but the white bread ones were not too bad. Our teas were very weak and light in color. Overall, it's a nice little cafe located at Toddington train station.

Great breakfast baps before setting off on the steam train! Friendly and efficient service. Clean and well decorated in keeping with the location.
