We were delighted to be greeted at the door and the waitress showed us to a lovely table that accommodated our two dogs. She immediately offered us menus and a water bowl for the dogs, something we’d usually have to ask for at most cafes. The menu was enticing and varied, I opted for the American pancakes which were soft and fluffy, and a fantastic sized portion which kept me full until teatime. I had a cappucino with oat milk which was delicious and my partner really enjoyed his first ever Spiced chai latte. I really can’t wait to go back to this beautiful cafe and sample the lunch menu. Wish we hadn't seen the good reviews. This was the worst meal we had of the 7 meals we had out on our weekend trip to Chester. The coffee was so bitter like it had been burnt. The toast was soggy, undercooked fatty streaky bacon. Overcooked fried egg. Underwhelming orange juice and baked beans with so much saratcha I could only eat 1 if them( which I did to try them, and left the rest. noone came to check on how the meal was. You do get a whole bunch of pea shoots, which I suppose is healthy but doesn't really go with the odd full English. Definitely not a place I would recommend or return to there are far better places to eat in Chester
We were a party of five and had to wait more than half an hour for a table. Although this was frustrating, it was a good sign that customers were able to enjoy their meal unrushed. Although it was busy, there was a calm atmosphere. The food was well cooked and hot, and the coffee lovers amongst us were happy with the coffee. The quality-price ratio was good and I would have no hesitation in returning.
Amazing venue on the Rows! Seemed very popular on Sunday morning, but the place is large enough to cope and has some lovely seating outside under cover over looking watergate street! Amazing Eggs Benedict but was so tempted by lots of other things on the menu!! Can’t fault this place xxx
Beautiful setting within Chester rows with very welcoming decor. Ordered the avocado and salmon on toast with poached egg and the American breakfast stack. Both were delicious and we enjoyed every mouthful. Quite large portions so didn’t need to eat again for hours! Very friendly...
Delicious breakfast, superb service friendly staff. Lovely decor with pretty plants in hanging pots. Nice lamp shades. The hot chocolate was amazing served with cream and marshmallows on the side to add yourself, great fun for a child! The pancakes with bacon, eggs royale...
