Out of the top 10 bars and pubs in Brighton, The Foghorn stands out as one of the best in my opinion. They offer well-kept beer at a fair price and are run and frequented by beer enthusiasts. Despite being small, the atmosphere is welcoming and not overcrowded. Located conveniently near a bus stop and not far from the train station, The Foghorn offers a variety of premium beers at a more affordable price compared to other top pubs in Brighton.

Both the Watchmaker's Arms and the Foghorn were awarded Pub of the Year by the Camra Branch (Brighton South Downs) for 2023. The reasons behind this are straightforward - excellent beer, top-notch service, and a great atmosphere. While they are the only micropubs in the immediate Brighton and Hove area, there are also a few taprooms worth checking out in Brighton. A visit to either of these pubs is highly recommended.

The Foghorn is simply superb. It has four or five classic real craft ales, plus keg lagers, stouts, ciders and wines. The atmosphere is also lovely, with lots of pets and kids during the day, very friendly staff, and best of all on a sunny day outside benches and tables where you can watch the Portslade world go by. Don't miss it if you're in the area! Réservez une table maintenant

Small but brilliant, I'm so lucky to have this pub virtually around the corner, I never really liked craft beer they always seem to have a strange after taste but the Foghorn has really changed my opinions. I think it's maybe down to storage and turn over. Been in here so many times and never ever had a bad pint, staff always welcoming.

This restaurant may not be flashy or trendy, and it's not located in the most popular part of Hove, but it is a cozy spot for beer enthusiasts. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is friendly and bustling with people looking for a good pint. You could easily spend hours here, and I personally wish I had.

It is simply fab. Great beers, Brilliant beers served with a passion LOADS of friendly regular customers. It is a beacon of brilliance in Portslade so is rather more Lighthouse than Forhorn! And the craft piccalilli served on a Sunday is uniquely superb.

Brilliant little boozer shoehorned into an entirely inappropriate building. Compact and intimate (though well distanced and separated during pandemics) and personal. Run by a team of sound fellows who clearly know and appreciate their beer. Réservez une table maintenant

Been a while since I last visited but was equally as impressed as last time. Fantastic selection of ale's at great prices. Very popular so does get a little busy but certainly worth coming as it really is a local gem.
