The Food Republic Cafe

We had lunch and I think it's meant to be more Cafe than Restaurant and more the brunch and evening drinks set. But, the food just needs a bit more punch. My "Wagu beef pattie, portabello mushroom, provelone cheese, caramelized sweet onions, dijon mustard served w’ chunky chips and aeoli" as described was hot,fresh and beautifully cooked (for a thick burger it did seem to come off the grill pretty fast so I do wonder if it may have been pre-cooked as it was very thick?) But it needed some relish or something to just lift it another notch. I know that the day menu is different to the night menu but? This was our third trip to this hotel. No doubt it won't be our last. From the moment we arrived at reception where we were greeted by Laura, who couldn't do enough for us, to Chinta in the pool bar, who looked after our every need. Breakfast was great, it improves every time we stay. Just loved my detox drink that the friendly Aria made for me every morning. The staff at the Marriott Courthouse are all outstanding, the food truck is the best, and Eva on security was so friendly. The whole Hotel is a wonderful place to stay, congratulations to you all including management I just can't speak highly enough of this great hotel

This café/restaurant has had a recent makeover and it looks great - fresh and sparkling with its metallic gold tiles and modern design. We love the European style seating (for people watching) overlooking the green. Our coffees were good and also good value. The bar and restaurant looked inviting for another visit. We noted that the venue has live music at times. It would be a very pleasant setting for such entertainment.

You know when you go to a place where the head guy & his dorky assistant are so nice you know it's fake. Oh & they forget about the most important thing prompt service & get it out out before its cold. Harsh comment but if the food was up to the snottiness of the staff it would be ok but it ain't. This is my new spot for breakfast and coffee. Excellent service, amazing contemporary menu and two blends of coffee to choose from. The restaurant is modern, clean and well maintained. Indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommend.

Went there for the first time. Nice clean location. Very friendly staff. Good selection of food. Excellent quality of ingredients. Well cooked and presented. Reasonably priced. They will see us again !

First time there since it changed owners, and was very impressed the layout, service, food and selection of food, had a very enjoyable lunch will be going back for dinner with friends!

Too expensive for the food we were served up. Burger was only a thick meat patty, onion,cheese and mushroom. Salad the same problem as the burger too expensive.
