what a disappointment. we were booked on the 3pm seat, it was the bedlam when we with the 12pm diners in the bar area together with the 3pm diners, no one offers advice / guidance. we were finally shown on our table at 3.15 o'clock and served our starter around...3.50pm (starters were ok.) our main course came at 4.45 o'clock, the meal was plated and swim in the darkest, strongest tasting I ever had. we observed that co-divers returned their meal times because they were cold, the temperature of our meal was ok, except the pigs in blankets were cold. we ate our meal times, the average choice and portion-sized, as we were really hungry at this time, no waiting staff asked if our meals were in...
service is always great here. menu quite extensive and changeable. was a little disappointed that the Indian platterstarter had disappeared that I had the last time, although it had shown on the online menu, but I guess that's a little picky." had steak I asked...for well done but it came medium/shavey. I was a thick piece and good value, would have sent it back, but in the position to eat it. I would still recommend this pub. very beautiful and spacious and always accommodating, even though busy.
go out for a dog walk and decided to make a box stop in this beautiful pub. good choice of beer in offer, I left blonde for the farmers who was beautiful. we didn't want to have a food, but the ruthless order at another table, we decided to have the flowerflower-Cochdar soup, steak sandwich, skin on fries and twirl rings. personal friendly and welcoming. dog-friendly also. highly recommended.
First pub lunch for many years 2 pints lager £10.i had gammon eggs chips £12 passable. partner mixed kebabs £12 as we live in Turkey most of the year expected a platter of kebabs instead 2 small skewers chicken tika and a lamb type meat...with poor salad and a small half nan. Maybe out of touch but if that is what you get for £36 will not be going back. Pleasent service and surroundings.

very disappointing my man had the lamb, it was raw, he sent it back came boiled a little more, but he could not cut into it himself with a steak knife, I shared my bark with him or he would not have had. any meat that waitress said she would pass our complaining, we were not even offered a tee or coffee as compensation, definitiv will not come back or recommend if this had been £20 it
Out on a rare date night and what a beautiful night we had. I can't really say a anything bad about anything. The food was beautiful food and plenty of it. Not only the food but the staff was very pleasent and couldt do enough...for us. I rate this pub very highly
Visited midweek about 6.00pm. I had fish and chips which were tasteless. My husband had ham chips and eggs. The ham looked stale and chips not fresh ,they were soggy and tasteless. Drinks nice but won’t be returning as very disappointing.
Called for an impromptu Sunday lunch after a long walk . They where really busy but didn’t turn us away and managed to squeeze us in which was much appreciated. The food and the staff were both lovely .
