We booked a family meal for 10 people and provided our preorder to ensure we secured our preferred choice of roast dinner. Waiting staff were superb, attentive and really helpful, especially when asking for any specials, which the kitchen were trying. Meals were served promptly, with plenty of time between courses. Plates were hot and the food was really well presented on the plate aswell as tasting good. The roasts were big and everyone finished up the meals. Desserts were ordered, the biscof cheesecake and Eton mess were superb. Can't wait to comeback again, the service and atmosphere were top drawer and compliments to the chefs.
The staff were friendly helpful and efficient from the moment we arrived. We ordered drinks at the bar and they brought them to us once we had found a table outside in the attractive garden. Unlike another pub I visited recently we were provided with table service despite being outside with everything being put on a tab. We were bought blackboards with the menu on, ordered and the food arrived in reasonable time . Mains and deserts were all well prepared and very tasty. We were also able to order more drinks from the table. Excellent service from the bar restaurant staff.
Myself and my partner always come here for food as the food is always incredible. We have never had a bad meal here. The steak is definitely the best in Northampton. Service is always incredible, staff are all friendly, welcoming and bubbly. Staff also like to have a chat and a laugh which is always a bonus and makes your experience further enjoyable Thank you to Kaitlyn, Cara, Sarah and Abi for your service as always!
I had a fantastic Sunday Roast at this restaurant, complete with all the traditional accompaniments. The meat was cooked perfectly, the vegetables were fresh and delicious, but the Yorkshire puddings were the standout dish! The service was excellent and the meal was great value for money. My family and I originally stopped by for a drink, but after seeing the menu, we decided to try a couple of the sharing platters. The platters were beautifully presented with generous portions of delicious food. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up taking home the leftovers. We were very impressed and will definitely be dining there again. Thank you x
A Sunday in early February may not always be the best experience at the moment, but this was fine. We went early, as is our habit on Sundays, but glad we booked, because lots of tables were reserved for a little later. Service was a little patchy to begin with, but improved once an additional member of staff arrived. Enjoyed our Roast beef!
Jordan and Mille were amazing. We came for a birthday and we were so well looked after. We forgot candles for the cake so Jordan held a lighter for us to blow out!! They even changed the music to a happy birthday song as we were the last people in the bar area, the food was excellent as well!!
Sunday carvery was one of the best we had. The meat was thickly sliced and portion very generous. No way could we eat up the meal and had plenty to take away. The staff who served us was very pleasant and cheery. Gammon was the best. Not salty and full of flavour. Highly recommended! Réservez une table maintenant
